The 1336-FAN-SP3A module is a fan that is compatible with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation drives. The fan unit is critical for maintaining the drive's operational temperature range. The working temperature of the adjustable frequency drives in the 1336 series is between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. The 1336-FAN-SP3A keeps the drives cool by allowing air to circulate around them. Only a single fan unit is required to adequately cool drives with horsepower ratings of up to 125 horsepower. It can also be utilized with drives from the 1336 series that have a horsepower rating of 100 or 75. The type E frame is used in this fan model. A CHB1 fan capacitor is included. The capacitor relieves the supply line of reactive power, allowing the power factor to improve. Because the capacitor is a high-capacity device, caution should be exercised throughout the operation, as well as during installation and removal. Before performing fan or drive maintenance, the capacitor must be totally depleted. The 1336-FAN-SP3A is KC certified and has been designed and produced to a high standard of safety. Allen-Bradley advises installing drive units in situations with a non-condensing relative humidity of 0 to 95 percent and adequate ventilation. The 1336-FAN-SP3A's effectiveness will be limited if the drives are placed in a degraded environment. Furthermore, the drive power supply can be operated from an external voltage source via terminal blocks TB-4 and TB-6 (B-Frame drives and above). Both terminal blocks are accessible from the front of the drive and are positioned on the base driver board. In the lack of bus voltage for the 1336-FAN-SP3A fan, TB4 can be used to externally power the low voltage power supply, allowing drive control functions to operate.
