The 1398-DDM-030 drive is an efficient solution to interface many motors from Allen-Bradley manufacturer or other manufacturers. This drive needs an input voltage rating range of 100 Volts AC to 200 Volts AC through a single-phase and an input current of 28 Amperes. The 1398-DDM-030 drive produces continuously an output power of 3000 Watts. It includes a dual microcontroller to regulate and monitor the position, the current, and the velocity of the motor. The 1398-DDM-030 dissipates an electrical power of 150 watts resulting from the cabinet heating; it includes all electronics circuits, the power supply, and the shunt regulator in one unit. The 1398-DDM-030 includes the IPM technology in the output to provide high frequency and digital PWM sine waves to monitor the current loop and overtemperature protection. The 1398-DDM-030 offers the choice between digital or analog feature interfaces.

The 1398-DDM-030 can control velocity, position, or torque through ±10 volts analog interface or presets. This drive can control the position using Step/Direction, CW/CCW, or quadrature encoder digital interfaces. The 1398-DDM-030 has five 24 Volt DC digital Input/Output channels and has two analog inputs and two analog outputs. The 1398-DDM-030 includes a single encoder for velocity feedback. It includes EEPROM memory to record motor parameters and application settings to facilitate the drive replacement and displacement. The drive provides a seven-segment display and three watchdog timers to reset the drive. The 1398-DDM-030 drive offers short circuit, overtemperature, overcurrent, and power time protection features and provides power supply outputs that are fused. The 1398-DDM-030 operates at a temperature range of 0 degrees to 55 degrees Celsius (32 degrees to 131 degrees Fahrenheit) for industrial applications and weighs approximately 6.48 kilograms (14.28 pounds) while shipping.
