Allen Bradley is a manufacturer of PLC systems and other devices. They produce a variety of flexible, high-quality PLC components that you may utilize to build your ideal control system. The 1769-PA2 powers compact I/O modules, which include 1769-PB2, -PA4, -PB4, and -PS120 power supply modules, which offer 5 volts direct current (DC) and 24 volts direct current (DC) power.
Unless the Compact I/O modules are linked directly to a MicroLogix 800/1500 base unit, each bank of Compact I/O modules must contain a power supply module. Within the load capacity of the power supply, up to eight I/O modules may be placed on either side of the power supply for a total of 16 modules, allowing you to expand the capability of your control system. Power is distributed from both sides of the power supply in 1769 Compact I/O power supplies. Two (2) amperes and a 5 volts DC power supply, for example, can deliver 1 ampere to the right side and 1 ampere to the left, or 2 amperes in one direction. The system's maximum current capacity in one direction is 2 amperes at 5 volts DC and 1 ampere at 24 volts DC. With Modbus RTU and ASCII protocol capabilities, it can handle even the most demanding serial communications requirements.
It may be expanded with 20 analog inputs and a power supply that converts 120 to 240 volts AC to 24 volts DC for the controller and expansion I/O modules. Without increasing the controller's footprint, it simply snaps into place. Allow for expansion with up to five extra serial ports. Temperatures range from -20 to 65 degrees Celsius (-4 to 149 degrees Fahrenheit). Provide a high-accuracy real-time clock that does not require calibration or updating.
