The 2090-CFBM7E7-CEAF03 is an continuous flex extension feedback cable. Designed and produced by the company known as Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation, this cable belongs to the Kinetix 2090 motion series. This feedback cable was designed to be used with motors that are equipped with high-resolution absolute position encoders. Although this cable can be continuously flexed, it is limited to a specified bend radius, especially when properly installed. The cable's continuous bend radius is larger than the cable diameter, being twelve (12) times its size. The size of the Allen Bradley 2090-CFBM7E7-CEAF03 cable normally ranges from three (3) meters to ninety (90) meters, or the equivalent of 9.9 feet to 295 feet. This cable is equipped with a SpeedTec connector. This cable, being an extension feedback cable, features an extension receptacle. It is a high resolver cable type.
During installation of the cable, some precautions must be ensured or else there might be equipment damage or even personal injuries. It is important to note that when the cable is in operation, there is normally heat energy that is being generated which needs to be dissipated freely. The cable should never then be coiled at any one point, and should there be a need for coiling, then it should be on a temporary basis having been de-rated. Be careful as well not to connect wires that are not used. The specified unused wires should be trimmed to avoid them getting into contacts with other wires that may lead to accidents occurring.
