The 2097-CONN1 is a connector set that is offered by Allen-Bradley as an accessory. This kit is compatible with drives in the Kinetix 300, as well as the Kinetix 350, series of products. Compatible catalog numbers for drives are 2097-V3xPRx for Kinetix 300 drives and 2097-V3xPRx-LM for Kinetix 350 drives. This connector set includes an AC input power component (IPD). A backup power module connector (CPD) is also included. The connector set has replacement connectors for the shunt and DC bus (BC) included for drives as standard. Drives that are equipped with the optional safe off feature are also supported with a safe off (STO) connector. A motor power connector (MP) is also included in this connector set. These connectors do not support installation while the unit is receiving power as power interruptions can damage the drive as well the connected motor and can corrupt stored data and system parameters. The connector kit allows part replacement without requiring complete disassembly or replacement of the entire drive. The drive is susceptible to damage due to electrostatic discharge. Care needs to be taken during installation to avoid exposure of the internal components of the drive to excess discharge as this can damage the internal components. A ground clamp may also be used to allow for relieving stresses on the power cable for the motor. This component is a Series A variant drive connector kit. Adequate clearance needs to be provided in order to allow the cable to bend within the specified bend radius limits. The kit is built to conform to KC standards.
