This unit belongs to the PowerFlex 70 drives family, providing powerful performance and flexible control. This drive has a three-phase rated input voltage of 240 volts AC (alternating current). The drive frame is type D, consisting of 22 amperes of current and 5.5 kilowatts, or the equivalent of 7.5 horsepower, of power. This device has a NEMA UL/ Type 1, IP20 rated enclosure. This device is capable of being mounted via a panel. This unit is equipped with a full numeric LCD HIM (human interface module) as the primary interface for operator interaction. The HIM unit has available text in multiple languages and can be used for variety of functions, such as startup, metering, programming, and troubleshooting. The unit has a large and easy to read LCD display. This display can display up to 7 lines of 21 characters each.

This Allen Bradley unit has an IGBT break feature without the break resistor, capable to switch drive’s regenerative energy, without costly external circuits. The drive frame type D has a filtering option, which is performed by an integral electromagnetic filter, able to meet the emission class EMC standards. There is no communication slot available of any type. It has an enhanced control I/O without the Safe-Off option and without feedback. The enhanced control provides features that are not available with the standard control, like Droop control, which is applicable in load sharing, and Sleep/Wake control for analogue control of start / stop.
