The Allen-Bradley Powerflex 70 is manufactured by Rockwell Automation to extremely high standards of quality and performance. Like the rest of the Powerflex line, this Allen-Bradley Powerflex 70 is an Alternating Current (AC) drive unit designed to be deployed within exacting space constraints and still meet your performance demands. This drive unit has Frame Size C, and it boasts a wide variety of features to guarantee high performance in a wide range of industrial applications. The Powerflex 70 features excellent speed and torque control, and it conforms to a wide range of recognised standards for ease of deployment and peace of mind. It is well-suited to either single-motor or multi-motor applications.
The Powerflex 70 demands an input voltage of 480 Volts at 50 Hertz, while it offers an adjustable frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) output to provide optimal power and rotation control. The drive is rated for 10 Horsepower (HP) for normal duty or 7.5 Horsepower (HP) for heavy duty ratings. Equivalently, it is rated 7.5 kilowatts (kW) on 3 phase electrical power, with a total output current rating of 11 Amperes. The Powerflex 70 boasts efficient operation and electrical efficiency of at least 97.5% at optimal speed and power loading. The output voltage is variable from zero up to the drive unit’s maximum voltage rating, allowing fine-grained control of speed and acceleration of the paired motor. This unit lacks a communication module and feedback capability, but it does feature compatibility with a variety of communication kits including ethernet or IP options.
