Product number 20D-DL2-CKE1 is a drive upgrade kit that was manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This unit is part of the Bulletin 1492 accessories series for catalog in the PowerFlex series. This component is a Phase II drive control upgrade kit. The kit allows the drive to offer better motor control along with expanded position settings and more parameters for the user to adjust. It is compatible with drives in the PowerFlex 700S series, as well as controllers in the DriveLogix 5730 series. This system allows for an easy and convenient way to extend the length of the drive’s control wiring to support the user application. It is able to connect a PowerFlex 700S series drive with the controller and allow data transfer between them. This kit includes the expanded cassette version of the drive control. The expanded cassette is installed in the drive after removing the original cassette. It cannot be installed while the device is in operation. The module comes with the tools required for installation. Installation is carried out using a wrench for hex nuts that have the M5 specification, along with Phillips and standard screws. The Phase II drive control kit is also compatible with devices using NetLinx and DPI cards. The kit requires the use of an additional component in order to be compatible with drives using the SynchLink feature. Drives using SynchLink require a separate board with the part number 20D-P2-SLB0 in order to continue to use SynchLink with Phase II control.
