The PowerFlex 523 changeable Frequency grade AC Drive with product number 25A-D017N104 runs between 380 and 480 VAC, 47 hertz to 63 Hz and includes the highest output current of 17 amps, a maximum output power of 7.5 kilowatts or 10.0 horsepower, and a programmable frequency response of 0 to 500 hertz. This Drive is mostly utilized for speed and torque control. Furthermore, this Drive is a much more energy-efficient device compared to a soft-starter since it is able to reduce power usage via the use of configurable settings.

With current derating and a control module fan kit, this drive functions in an ambient temperature range of up to 70°C (158°F). It also has a side-by-side installation with a 50mm (1.96 in) air-flowing gap at the top and bottom of the Drive. Additionally, it enables low-cost networking via an inbuilt RS485/DSI connector.

This Drive is suitable for speed control through the Volts / Hertz (V/Hz) technique. This control approach enables precise speed control for machines and processes, including conveyors, material transfer, and pumps. Sensorless Vector Control (SVC) could be utilized for torque control in applications where lifting or gripping action is needed over the whole speed range of the motor. Drilling, pumping, dampening, and material handling are only a few of these uses.
