The 2711-B5A9 from Rockwell is part of PanelView Standard 550 models of terminals for industrial applications. This model should mounted no higher than 6561 feet to run properly. This model must be placed in a location endowed by IEC-1131-2 pollution grade meaning that only non-conductive contamination may occur. The consented temperature for the terminal must be in the range 32-131 degrees Fahrenheit. This program is available in five languages: English, French, German Spanish and Chinese. Transfer of the application to the terminal is possible with a network providing a direct link. To brighten the screen, the system uses an LCD backlight, whose estimated life of about 11 years of operation. The terminal shall stand vibrations up to 2 g at 2000 hertz. The model permits the user to to benefit of its functionalities using a set of buttons with 10 function buttons ranging from F1 to F10 that may be configured for different purposes. The user should allow a way to the back of the panel so that the operator could perform maintenance and troubleshooting functions right. The device provides the user a RS-232 (DH-485) port to share data with any PLC or other units. The designer must leave adequate space inside the case of the terminal to obtain proper cooling. The system provides the user a 120 x 60 millimeters monochromatic LCD display.
