The Allen-Bradley 2711-K10G20 is a highly versatile operator panel that supports a wide range of functions and can be used for several applications. The panel serves as an integral part of Rockwell Automation’s PanelView 1000 series and supports an interactive grayscale display screen with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The screen enables the user to actively study the system and ensure the smooth functioning of the components of the machine. This interactive interface makes the operator panel highly effective in an industrial setting, such as an assembly line. Numerical messages can be entered as inputs in the system using the keypad provided with the terminal package. The device also supports fractions and decimal values and can be used for computing and engineering applications. The input can also be in the form of statistics and variables. The 2711-K10G20 is highly efficient when used in conjunction with an Ethernet network. The Ethernet network can be configured using the configuration mode menu and can be used to relay messages and inputs or receive feedback from components that constitute the control system. A 1761-NET-ENI module or a 1785-ENET module can be used to connect the operator panel to a programmable logic controller.
