The Allen-Bradley 2711-K6C3 is a user-operated terminal used to relay messages and instructions to system components over a DH-485 network. An RS-232 port provided on the terminal allows the product to communicate with remote devices over the network and monitor the system. In order to protect the internal circuitry of the terminal, a panel or enclosure can be used as a mounting device for the terminal. Cut-outs of appropriate sizes and dimensions can be created on the enclosure to ensure adequate ventilation and accessibility. Memory cards can also be used in conjunction with the terminal to save and transfer files. Status indicators are present on the terminal and can be used to indicate the status of the control system and identify faults within the system. The COMM status indicator flashes a green light to indicate that communication between the terminal and the system’s components is underway. The 2711-K6C3 terminal is an efficient and versatile electronic terminal and can be used in a variety of systems.
