The Allen-Bradley 2711-K6C3L1 is an electronic terminal that is used to improve the user’s experience with the control system by adding measures of flexibility and ease of operation. The terminal’s touch screen display is highly interactive and allows the user to control his applications in real-time. The touch screen consists of 128 touch cells that let you control and initiate functions and communicate with devices in the system. A keypad can also be used to feed inputs, messages, and instructions into the control system. Numeric entry keys are also provided and the user can enter values ranging from 0 to 9. Decimal and negative values are also supported by the terminal. Cursor keys can be used to move the cursor across displayed lists or select a set of options from the configuration mode menu. The 2711-K6C3L1 is a user-operated terminal that can be configured using the configuration mode menu. The terminal settings can be set to default or modified to suit the user’s requirements. The menu is also required to set up printers and scanners and a communication network is required to initiate the functions of these remote I/O devices. A memory card can be used in conjunction with the terminal to store and transfer files to and from the terminal. A memory card slot is also provided on the terminal to house the external memory card.
