The 2711-NL1 is a replacement backlight lamp that is branded and manufactured by Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation. The replacement lamp has LED(s) as its light source and is provided with a lamp base. The voltage rating for this replacement lamp is 1 Ampere. It is used for PanelView 550 touch (Only Series A) and 550 (Series G and below). It is a 5-Volt and 5-Watt replacement lamp that is KC certified. When the lamp illuminates the LCD of the PanelView 550 terminal, the light travels via the fiber optic bundle to the front panel. The heat dissipated gets filtered by an infrared filter. However, it has to be ensured that the replacement lamp and the fiber-optic bundle do not touch the infrared filter. Also, ensure no one touches the lamp while it is on. The heat may injure the individual to a great extent. It is always recommended to naturally cool the lamp. The lamp‘s life extends to about 20,000 hours provided the voltage is 1 Ampere and the current is 5 Volts.

This backlight replacement lamp finds its applications in various industrial sites. The lamp mounting can be of metal or plastic type. For lamps with a metal clip, you have to replace the lamp base. For lamps with a plastic ring, you do not need the lamp base. It is important to follow these steps for replacing the backlight lamp: first, turn off the power connection to the PanelView terminal. Second, remoe the lamp access cover. Next, remove the lamp from the mounting clip (following the instructions as per metal or plastic clips). Then, insert the new lamp into its holder and reposition the lamp access cover. Finally, turn on the power connection to the PanelView terminal.
