Part of the PanelView Plus 6 series, the 2711P-B6M20D8 600 terminal runs HMI applications and allows access to the desktop. It merges the display (monitoring), power, communications (connections) module, and logic unit into a single base unit. The 2711P-B6M20D8 requires a DC power input, non-isolated, with a nominal voltage of 24 VDC. The allowable voltage range is 18 to 30 VDC. The terminal can draw a maximum of 15 watts from the supply. For PLC communications, the terminal is equipped with an Ethernet port. The terminal is also outfitted with two USB ports for communication, one USB host port and one USB device port. The terminal also features an RS-232 port, which may be used to communicate with controllers, printers, or transfer files. The 2711P-B6M20D8 also contains an SD card slot that can be used to expand the terminal's internal memory. The terminal has 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of nonvolatile memory. The terminal is outfitted with a 5.7-inch monochrome (16-level gray) passive-matrix TFT LCD. The display is lit with a white LED backlight with a brightness of 440 candelas per square meter. The terminal uses a stainless-steel membrane-based keypad and touch screen with a 1,000,000 press actuation rating to register operator inputs. The keypad features 10 function keys (F1 through F10), as well as numerical and navigational keys. The 2711P-B6M20D8 comes with six mounting holes for easy installation on the panel. It contains a battery compartment as well as two indicator lights for communication and fault status. It contains a reset switch and a default switch for resetting the terminal and restoring factory default settings, respectively. The unit is around 1.60 pounds in weight.
