Allen Bradley's 2711P-K4M20A is a PanelView Plus 400 terminal. It offers a compact and inexpensive way for users/operators to interface with industrial devices. This terminal has a grayscale passive-matrix display with FSTN cell technology. Its display size is 3.8 inches diagonal. It has a display area of 3 inches x 2.3 inches. For interfacing with the terminal, a keyboard is available. The keyboard has numerical and navigation keys, as well as eight programmable function keys. The terminal has a base configured unit with an RS-232 port and a USB port for attaching hardware such as a modem, printer, scanner, and other external devices. RS-232 supports full-duplex communication for PLC systems via modem connections. The 2711P-K4M20A also allows DH485 communication through serial connections. It also implements point-to-point protocol (PPP) and files uploading/downloading.  MicroLogix, Micro800, and SLC500, 5/01, 5/02 are the preferred controllers. The base unit also incorporates one Ethernet port (RJ45) which offers communication by transmitting data over the wires. This port is being used for IP connections, printing, and app file management, both uploading and downloading.
