The 2711P-K6M8D, a PanelView Plus 600 terminal, allows the users to graphically display, control, and monitor application information and updates. This terminal only supports versions 3.20 to 5. The first module, the display module, has a grayscale passive matrix 5.5-inch LCD screen and FSTN fabrication technology (film compensated super-twisted nematic). The terminal's screen has a backlight with a luminance power of 300 candelas per square meter, a resolution of 320 pixels horizontally by 240 pixels vertically, and a height and width of 3.3 inches and 4.4 inches, respectively. The 2711P-K6M8D uses a keyboard, with 31 keys, to register operator inputs. The second module is a base configured unit. It has one slot to connect the 24 volts DC power source, one slot for compact flash, one port for Ethernet communication protocol, one port for RS-232 serial communication, and one port for USB interface. It also has an interface for modular communication.  The 2711P-K6M8D comes with an x86 processor with 64 MB SDRAM and 64 MB internal storage. The third module is the communication module. It is an optional module and can be attached to the base unit via the network interface. It helps to add more communication protocols to the terminal such as ControlNet networks.
Generally, it can work at a low voltage of 18 volts to the highest voltages of 30 volts. However, it is recommended to use 24 volts. Its power consumption never crosses the limit of 25 watts.
