The 2711P-RN8, manufactured by Allen-Bradley, is a communication module that works with the 400 and 600 editions of Allen-Bradley's PanelView Plus terminals. This module is called a DH+ communication module. This DH+ is a network technology that is good for commercial applications. It is an easy-to-use network feature that helps computer systems, Programmable logic controllers and SLCs communicate with each other. The Allen-Bradley made 1770-CD cable is the best cable for connecting SLC-5/04 controllers to each other. The best cable for connecting PLC-5, PLC-5C, and PLC-5E controllers are shielded twisted cords that are twisted together in pairs (similar to the 1770-CD).
