The 2711P-RP9D is a logic module that is part of the PanelView Plus 6 series of modular terminals made by Allen-Bradley. This component is offered as a separate logic module that is intended for field installation. Its built-in power supply uses DC power to operate the high-performance logic module. This module has an available memory consisting of 512 megabytes of RAM, as well as 512 megabytes of non-volatile data storage capacity. Up to 79 megabytes of storage capacity are available for the user to install their applications or store user data. The module offers connectivity options including a serial port with the RS-232 protocol, along with the ability to connect via Ethernet. An integrated network interface communications module is also provided. The module includes 2 USB ports that can be used to connect equipment such as printers and HID devices. Devices connected on these ports are hot swappable. An additional USB port is also provided for connecting a host personal computer. The module also includes a Secure Digital (SD) card with an integrated slot. Manufacturer recommended controllers include modules from the CompactLogix and ControlLogix series, which are fully compatible with this unit. This module has a conformal coating but is not marine certified. Reset and default switches are provided to allow access to repair and diagnostic functions. The logic module features an internal clock that is used to timestamp critical data and has a backup battery.
