The Allen Bradley 2711P-T15C21D8S is an operator terminal from Panelview Plus 7 series terminals. The device has a color TFT LCD touch screen, a 15 inch display size, and a single Ethernet/IP port. The 2711P-15C21D8S's display has a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and an input power of twenty-four (24) volts DC (direct current). It has 512 MB RAM, 512 MB internal storage with 80 MB of free user memory. That internal storage can be increased using internal cards and also external flash drives. This is a standard terminal version and it has 2 USB high-speed ports that allows for communication between a host computer and a local flash drive. Additionally, there is one embedded 10/100Base-T, Auto MDI/MDI-X Ethernet port for network connection. The terminal is able to start and perform connection to 1 (one) controller and up to 100 (one hundred) screens and 500 alarms. Also through the Ethernet port, the Ethernet communication can support linear and network star topology. The 2711P-15C21D8S runs a human machine interface (HMI) which has several parts. Using this terminal HMI applications and animated graphics and text displays can present every point in machine processing applications but also can control other devices on Ethernet/IP network. The ambient temperature that surrounds the terminal must be kept within the range of zero to fifty-five degrees Celsius (0 to 55 °C), or thirty-two to one hundred and thirty-one degrees Fahrenheit (32 to 131 °F).
