The 2711P-T7C4D8K is designed for applications that need graphic monitoring, control, and visualization of data, letting operators immediately comprehend the status of their device. This terminal has the display (monitoring) module, logic module, and optional communication module, allowing for variable setup, installation, and upgrades. The display module consists of a color (active-matrix) thin-film transistor display with a display size of 6.5 inches (diagonally), a resolution (image/video) of 640 × 480 pixels, and an effective display area of 5.2 inches x 3.9 inches. The terminal also contains a one million presses actuation rate analogue resistive touch panel for interaction. The logic module contains an Ethernet port for controller connections, two high speed USB host ports for connecting external peripherals, and a serial RS-232 connector for communicating with logic controllers, printing (scanning), and transferring files. The 2711P-T7C4D8K has an internal memory of 512 MB RAM and 512 MB of nonvolatile memory. The terminal also supports an external SD card for additional storage. The module has reset buttons, status indicators, a real-time clock (with lithium battery for backup), and one peripheral component interconnect slot. Additional communication modules that expand communication capacity to Data High Plus/485, ControlNet (scheduled and unscheduled), and Ethernet networks can be linked through the network interface on the logic module. It has a max power demand of 70 watts, with an input voltage range of 18 to 32 VDC.  All modules in this terminal are conformal coated. It has a lithium battery and CCFL backlight with a minimal life of four years.
