Allen-Bradley?s 2711PC-T6M20D is a human-machine interface (HMI) graphic operator terminal belonging to the PanelView Plus family of PanelView of compact terminals designed to primarily interface with CompactLogix controllers. This graphic operator terminal operates nominally at an input voltage of 24 volts DC producing 1 Amp of current. However, the terminal can accommodate voltages between 18 and 30 volts DC at a maximum power consumption of 25 watts. Utilizing serial and Ethernet communication only, this device supports fixed hardware configuration in the absence of modular components with a 32-level monochrome touchscreen display.

The 2711PC-T6M20D, a product of Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation, is a human-machine interface module designed and manufactured as a compact graphic display unit for easy operations of field devices and machines by interfacing with a logic controller.  Allen-Bradley’s 2711PC-T6M20D was primarily designed to be the HMI for CompactLogix controllers. The 6-inch screen had a 320 x 240 (VGA) resolution and is limited to just serial and Ethernet communication protocols. This device is equipped with one USB port, RS-232 serial port, 10/100BaseT Ethernet Port, and a CompactFlash Type-1 card slot. Its terminal provides monochrome display together with a touch screen input. This terminal comes with a power terminal block, mounting levers, a panel cut-out template, and a set of instructions for installation. It is worthy of note that this device’s terminals do not support the addition or replacement of modular components. The input power into this device can be protected by a circuit breaker or fuse rated at a maximum of 15 Amps. The power lines to the device should be given a separate path from the communication lines to avoid white noise and signal interference. Environmentally, this device operates between 0 and 55 Degree Celsius with a heat dissipation of 85 BTU/hr.
