The MPL-A330P-HJ72AA is Allen-Bradley's MP series Low-inertia brushless servo motor that offers high density power output. The motor has novel winding technology that packs 40% higher torque in the same size as a typical motor. It also has efficient thermal management and improved heat transfer which allow for smaller size. The high strength rare earth magnets provide faster response and therefore higher acceleration rate. The motor has its own memory to save its identifying parameter which helps in setup of the motor during commissioning time. The speed rating on the motor is 5000 rpm with an output rating of 1.8 Kilowatts and a rotor inertia of 0.00012 kg-sq.m (0.001 lb.-in-sq.s). The continuous stall torque rating of the servo motor is 4.18 N-m (37 lb.-in) and continuous stall current is 12.0 Amperes (0-peak). The peak stall torque is 11.1 N-m (98 lb-in) and the corresponding peak stall current is 38 Amperes (0-peak). The motor feedback is from a 2000 line encoder and it has shaft key but no shaft seal. The connectors are circular DIN, right angle with 180° rotatable and no brakes. The servo motor mounting flange is IEC metric and all other factory designated options are standard. The operating temperature range of the servo motor is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius (32 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit) and it can be stored or transported at -30 to 70 degrees Celsius (-22 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit) with a relative humidity of 5 to 95% with no condensate. In addition, the storage atmosphere is required to be noncorrosive.
