The MPL-B230P-VJ74AA by Allen Bradley is a great product as it is a brush-less motor with high output and small sizes. A protocol known as Hiperface is one of the methods implemented so the lowest number of cables are placed inside the motor. This motor belongs to the 400 volts alternating current voltage class. The motor has a Frame size of 75 mm or frame size 2 by the IEC metric, a 2 inches or 76.2 mm in length magnetic stack, and a 5000 RPM rated and maximum speed with rated 0.86 kW output power. The inertia of 0.000063 kg m², continuous torque of 2.10 Nm at the zero speed, and a peak of 8.20 Nm torque in a small time period. Measuring the precise speed of the motor, a high-quality absolute multi-turn 128 sin/cos encoder is selected for the feedback system. There are SpeedTech DIN-type connector cables attached with the motor to connect it with other components. These connectors are located by the keyed shaft for maximum security. However, the shaft is unsealed which means it is not waterproof and humidity can damage the product.  For better operational results, a regular maintenance schedule of the motor and keeping it in a dry place is a necessity. The rating IP50 and IP66 of the motor indicated that the motor is dustproof to some extent. The MPL-B230P-VJ74AA has a direct current 24 V brake inside the motor which stores the memory of the loads when the power is down. To protect the 2.6 kg (5.7 lbs.) motor from moving around, it can be mounted.
