Allen-Bradley's MPL-B580J-MJ72AA is an alternating current (AC) type synchronous permanent magnet (PM) servo motor. It is ideal for industrial and laboratory applications which are seeking precision in measurement values of velocity, torque, or position. It involves the use of powerful permanent magnets arranged on a rotor with a length of the stack of about eight (8) inches. It is described as IEC 60072 - 1 rotary motion system featuring a mounting flange with a one hundred and sixty-five (165)-millimeter frame. Its electrical needs are consistent with those of the high voltage class, spanning from thirty (30) to one thousand (1000) volts alternating current (commonly known as class B), with an operating voltage of four hundred (400) volts. 

The MPL-B580J-MJ72AA's feedback, brake, and power connections are round SpeedTech (DIN). For maximum torque controlling, a rotary multiturn encoder is implanted in this motor to detect the position of the rotor. It offers high precise feedback as compared to the single-turn encoder. It can count approximately 4096 turns of the rotor. These DIN connectors can make one hundred and eighty (180) degrees of rotation clockwise and counterclockwise. It has an intended, as well as a maximum, speed of 3750 revolutions per minute (rpm). It's rated for a constant stall torque of three hundred and two (302) lb-in. It has a peak stall torque of seven hundred and sixteen (716) lb-in. and rotating inertia of 0.00289 lb-in-s². This motor has a weight of approximately fifty-six (56) pounds and has a key option for a shaft for secured mechanical mating.
