Allen-Bradley's MPL family's product, the MPL-B580J-SJ22AA, features high torques (on output), small inertia, and a brushless rotary servo. It employs innovative design features to mitigate motor size while offering much higher torque. This synchronous motor with windings of 400 volts (armature) has permanent magnets. Moreover, it only permits an alternating current (AC) through its windings for field generation, and the winding's voltage indicated is likewise an AC rating. This Allen-Bradley device uses powerful rare earth permanent magnets (PM) to establish a magnetic field, with the PM stacks on 8.00 inches of length. The use of permanent magnets, despite the motor's tiny size, allows this motor to attain a speed of 3750 rpm (revolutions per minute) nominal and 3800 rpm maximum. The motor's frame is just 165 millimeters, and the total weight of the motor is approximately 25.4 kilograms. 

MPL-B580J-SJ22AA's frame specifications match the IEC 72-1 standard, and this servo motor has a flat-mounted design. It possesses a classic rotary encoder, as well as a single-turn encoder that provides only 360-degree feedback (1 rotor's turn). It can provide 7.9 kilowatts of power and 34.0 Newton-meters of stall torque (rated continuous value).
