The Allen-Bradley POINT I/O 1734-IE2V is a compact analog input module that serves as an interface between an input mechanism and the prime movers of the control system. An isolation voltage of 50 volts of direct current is required to protect the module from high voltages produced by the other components of the control system. The module can also be protected from damage by using an appropriate number of fuses and circuit-breakers. An input power source rated at a voltage ranging from 12 volts to 24 volts of direct current is required to ensure the optimum performance of the module. At the rated voltage, the module dissipates 0.75 watts of power and 2.5 British thermal units of heat per hour. The device is robust and versatile and can be used and stored in a variety of industrial environments.
The Allen-Bradley 1734-IE2V module uses a delta-sigma converter to modulate and encode analog signals into digital signals.
