This Allen-Bradley SLC 500 Digital AC Output Module comes with 8 outputs. It has a voltage range of 85 - 265V AC and requires a single slot for installation. The Allen-Bradley 1746-OA8 is a robust digital output module that has 8 efficient output points that allow the user to create an effective interface between the module and other I/O devices in the industrial automation system. The module does not have any input connections and can be used to improve the performance characteristics of the control system by accentuating the connectivity of the output connections present in the system. The device is primarily used in conjunction with serial logic controllers belonging to the SLC 500 Series and can be mounted on the chassis of the controller. The enclosure that houses the controller and the digital output module must be designed to ensure that adequate clearances are provided for ventilation and maintenance of the components of the module.

The Allen-Bradley 1746-OA8 is a sophisticated device and must be mounted in an enclosure so that it can be used effectively in industrial conditions. The module has a flame spread rating of 5 volts-amperes when it is used along with metallic components in the system. The module operates on an input voltage ranging from 85 volts to 264 volts of three-phase alternating current and can be used for a wide variety of applications.
