Part number 1746sc-NI8U is a universal analog input module. This input module was designed and manufactured by Spectrum Controls. This module was designed to be compatible with, and to be used with, SLC 500 products. Part number 1746sc-NI8U has a total of eight (8) channels. This input module is equipped with nine (9) status indicators that light up green. There is one (1) indicator for each of the eight (8) channels, as well as one (1) indicator for the module status. This module should be operated in an environment where the temperature ranges from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, or the equivalent temperature range of 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, when storing this module, the temperature of the surrounding environment should range from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, or -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. The relative humidity levels suitable for this device range from 5% to 95% with no condensation. 

The Spectrum Controls 1746sc-NI8U SLC 500 universal analog input module has a backplane current consumption rated at 120 milliamperes at 5 volts DC or 100 milliamperes at 24 volts DC. The backplane power consumption, however, is rated at 3.00 watts maximum (0.6 watts at 5 volts DC, 2.4 watts at 24 volts DC). This input module can be attached to an I/O chassis through any slot except for slot 0. It supports the Sigma-Delta Modulation A/D conversion method. This universal analog input module has a normal mode rejection rated at 100 decibels (dB) at 50 and 60 hertz. Additionally, it has a common mode rejection rated at 100 decibels (dB) at 50/60 hertz. The Spectrum Controls 1746sc-NI8U universal analog input module has an isolation rating of 500 volts DC when operating continuously.
