The 1756-OB8EI is a ControlLogix Discrete output module that contains 8 sourcing output channels (non-isolated) that are electronically fused. Allen-Bradley manufactures the 1756-OB8EI, an isolated ControlLogix electronically fused unit. Electronically fused 8-point individually isolated outputs are included in the module. The 1756-OB8EI's operating voltage ranges from 12 to 24 Volts DC. It has a 10 to 30 Volt DC working voltage range and a maximum output current rating-point of 2 Amps at 60 degrees Celsius. The 1756-OB8EI has a maximum output current rating of 16 amps at 55 degrees Celsius and 10 amps at 60 degrees Celsius. At 60 degrees Celsius, the 1756-OB8EI has a maximum power dissipation of 4.7 Watts. It has a short trip of greater than 4.5 Ampere for a maximum of 500 seconds (output on, then short) and a long trip of greater than 4.5 Ampere for a maximum of 1.5 milliseconds (output on into short), with a diagnostics timestamp of +/- 1 millisecond. At 5.1 volts, it draws 250 milliamperes and at 24 volts, it draws 2 milliamperes. At 5 volts, the backplane current is 250 mA, while at 24 volts, the backplane current is 2 mA. The 1756-OB8EI also includes the 1756-TBCH and 1756-TBS6H, which are both removable terminal blocks. It features a continuous isolation voltage of 50 volts and can be installed in any chassis slot. The 1756-OB8EI has a maximum output delay of 1 minute from off to on, and a maximum output delay of 5 milliseconds between on and off. The 1756-OB8EI's suggested operating temperature range is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, with a storage temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The 1756-OB8EI needs a high ambient air temperature of 60 degrees Celsius, with a relative humidity of 5% minimum and 95% maximum. Electronic fusing, a changeable point-level output state, variable output densities, and non-isolated output module variations are among the features of the 1756-OB8EI.
