This ControlLogix Time Synchronization Module comes to us from Allen-Bradley under the name 1756-TIME. This model is exclusively responsible for providing time-synchronization with the global positioning system (GPS). It can be used directly installed in a ControlLogix chassis. It comes integrated with Ethernet, IRIG-B, and Antenna connection terminals.


This unit does not ship with terminal blocks. Terminal blocks may be present in photographs for illustrative purposes.

This ControlLogix time synchronization module is brought to the market once again by the Allen-Bradley company under the name 1756-TIME. This model uses GPS technology to provide precise synchronization of the interfaces that need this process.

This Allen-Bradley model is backed by the power of a ControlLogix backplane. Its status indicators are capable of providing device status and operational information. As for its connectors, it has Ethernet connectors 1 and 2 using Rockwell Automation dual-port switch technology. It also has an SMA antenna that connects directly to the GPS bullet antenna. Finally, it has an IRIG-B BNC type connector that links to the IRIG-B network, and thanks to this addition, the 1756-TIME can work as a master or slave clock.
