The Allen-Bradley 1764-MM1 belongs to the MicroLogix 1500 Programmable Controllers line. The MicroLogix 1500 series features programmable controllers that are composed of base units, accessories and processors. The 1764-MM1 is an optional accessory that can be installed on an any of the processor from the MicroLogix 1500 line. The MM1 is a memory module, with an a memory of 8 kilobytes. In order to recognize the module the controller should be put in a non-executing mode (program mode or fault condition) or a power cycle should occur. It is possible to carry out a program compare between the application on the controller and the one on the memory module. If a memory module is removed, its abscence will be detected within one program scan.
