The Allen-Bradley 1769-OF4 compact voltage/current analogue module has 4 single-ended outputs each supports a voltage rating of 30 volts AC/30 volts DC with multiple output voltage and current ranges starting from -10 volts DC to 10 volts DC and from 0 milliamps to 20 milliamps respectively. The 1769-OF4 provides a resolution of 15 bits. This module converts and digitally saves analogue data voltage or current which can be employed by controllers such as the CompactLogix controller or the MicroLogix 1500 controller. The 1769-OF4 module can be employed in several applications mainly in the industrial field. For example, the 1769-OF4 module can be assembled with a 1769-ADN DeviceNet adapter or with a 1769-AENTR Ethernet adapter. The 1769-OF4 module can be mounted on well-grounded panels using two mounting M4 or #8 screws or on either EN 50 022 - 35 x 7.5 or EN 50 022 - 35 x 15 DIN rails. The 1769-OF4 output module dissipates an electrical power of 2.86 watts. The 1769-OF4 module has an OK status LED indicator which indicates that this terminal has power, passed internal diagnostics, and is communicating over the bus. This Allen-Bradley 1769-OF4 voltage/current analogue output module can be supplied through 1769 Compact I/O power supplies such as 1769-PA2, 1769-PB2, 1769-PA4, 1769-PB4 which are Class 2-rated power supplies that match the input transmitter specifications except when connected to a MicroLogix 1500 base with a current consumption of 170 milliamps. The normal impedance of the 1769-OF4 module is 15 ohms. This 1769-OF4 module supports shielded or twisted-pair Belden 8761 wire or equivalent wires. The Allen-Bradley 1769-OF4 module can be connected easily to either the controller or to an adjacent I/O module before or after mounting. The data of the 1769-OF4 module can be configured as engineering parameters in milliamps or volts, percent of range, for PID, raw /proportional data for high resolution. It comes with a 16-pin backplane connector designed to fit directly into an Allen-Bradley 1769 CompactLogix programmable logic controller and an 18-pin terminal block that receives the wiring from the analog voltage or current elements in the field. The wire size for connecting the field elements to the terminal can vary between 22 and 14 AWG for solid wire or 22 and 16 AWG for stranded wire. With the current mode, it is 0 to 600 ohms (including the resistance of the wires), and with the voltage mode, it can be 1 kiloohm or even greater.
