The company known as Allen Bradley designed and manufactured the 1771-ACN as an adapter module that is used to operate remote Input/Output (I/O) on a ControlNet network. This network enables Allen Bradley equipment to connect with third-party products that have been certified. The PLC-5/20C and PLC-5/40C processors are both compatible with this module. Installing this ControlNet adapter module necessitates a one (1) ampere at five (5) volts direct current (DC) backplane current. When installing this device, place it in the I/O chassis' leftmost slot. The reason for this is because the backplane connections are only intended to accommodate one (1) kind of module. Aside from that, the keying bands on the top connector must likewise be between fifty-four (54) and fifty-six (56), while the bottom connector must be between sixteen (16) and eighteen (18).
