This 1771-AM1 is a single slot chassis with an integrated remote I/O adapter and power supply unit. The hardware of the single slot chassis features an internal power supply with a nominal input voltage requirement of 120 Volts AC / 220 Volts AC at a frequency of 50/60 Hertz. The product belongs to the obsolete product family of PLC-5 controllers. The 1771-AM1 has a large size of 298 x 70 x 187 millimeters or 11.7 x 2.7 x 7.3 inches. Mounting screw slots are offered in this unit to accept direct mounting to backplane of the enclosure.

This 1771-AM1 single slot chassis has a remote I/O adapter (RIO) port that has compatibility with RIO network and supports data transfer speeds of 57.6k and 115.2k. It uses a Belden Blue Hose 9463 cable and the RIO communication protocol follows daisy chain topology. This PLC-5 1 slot chassis has an internal power unit and RIO adapter. It has a single slot I/O module and uses a 14-gauge stranded wire with 3/64 inches thick insulation. The selectable nominal ratings of 120 Volts AC at 50/60 Hertz and 220 Volts AC at 50/60 Hertz using a selectable switch and selectable input ranges of 97 to 132 Volts AC (RMS) and 194 to 264 Volts AC RMS. It has a real power of 30 Watts and an apparent power of 48 Volt-amperes. The module has a load reliant external transformer with a power rating of 75 Volt-amperes at 47 to 63 Hertz. The voltage isolation is examined at 2500 Volts DC for 1 second and it safeguards the internal circuitry by using 1.5 Amperes slow blow fuse.
