1771-OWNA is a contact output Module by Allen Bradley. This module should be installed in a 1771-A1B to 1771-A4B I/O chassis or later. There is no surge protection circuitry is in this module. It is recommended only for switching resistive loads. For inductive or capacitive loads, this module is not recommended. It features 32 outputs. These are divided into four (4) groups of eight (8), each with its own common. It may switch all 32 outputs to distinct loads at the same time. It can handle a maximum of 4 amperes per group, with 12 amps of total current. Every output can handle a continuous load of 1.0 ampere at 30 watts maximum. The power factor (PF) of the AC loads switched by the modules should be 1.0. It has an AC voltage rating of 24 to 138 volts AC rms. Its DC voltage rating is 24 to 125 volts DC.
This module's maximum connecting wire length is 1000 feet (304.8 meters). It has 32 indicators on the front plate to indicate the control status of relays on the output side. When all relays on the module are ON, it has a power dissipation rating of 12.5 watts and thermal dissipation rating of 42.75 BTU/hr. It requires a backplane current of 2.5 amperes maximum. It features a nominal backplane current value of 1.8 amperes. It can handle a switching frequency of 10 hertz maximum. It has a bounce time of a maximum of 1 millisecond. It is capable of being operated at temperatures ranging from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. The rated storage temperature for this device is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.
