The 1771-P4S module is a power supply unit manufactured and designed by Allen Bradley. It is a PLC 5 automation platform module that provides backplane power for Allen-Bradley 1771 series modules. This power supply includes a changeable inbuilt fuse. It has a 1.5-ampere rating and a voltage rating of 250 volts. The circuit voltage isolation has been tested at 2160 volts DC for one second and is rated to provide branch circuit protection of 15 amperes. The 1771-P4S has a nominal input supply voltage of 120 volts AC, a voltage range of 97 to 132 volts AC, and a frequency range of 47 to 63 hertz. It has an output voltage of 5.06 volts direct current and a maximum current of 8 amperes direct current at 5 volts direct current. For usage with this power supply, an optional 150-ampere transformer is suggested. This module supports the use of a second power supply linked in parallel to boost backplane power. The module has a power rating of 59 watts and an apparent power rating of 89 volt-amperes at 50 to 60 hertz. This power supply is designed for use in the I/O chassis 1771-A1B, 1771-A2B, 1771-A3B, and 1771-A4B. This module accepts 14 AWG single or solid copper wire with a maximum insulation thickness of 3/64 inches. The 1771-P4S is CSA and UL approved and it features a 13.6-millisecond power loss delay time. This device is suitable for usage in non-condensing humidity levels ranging from 5% to 95% and the suitable temperature of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius.
