The Allen-Bradley power supply module 1771-P5E is a power supply with a selectable power loss time delay to avoid nuisance I/O chassis resets due to input power supply loss. It uses two adjacent slots in the 1771 I/O chassis and requires 24 Volts of direct current with a range of 20.5 to 30 Volts of direct current. The power loss time delay is the time from the drop of input power supply below 20.5 Volts DC to the point when it is back up again, resetting the processable enable signal on the I/O backplane. The resetting signal to the PLC processor or control module leads to stop of processing data communication between modules in the I/O chassis. The input power rating is 57 Watts. It has a high isolation voltage of 2160 Volts DC for 1 second, 1500 Volts rms for 1 second, and output Voltage of 5.06 Volts DC with a variability of 3.8%. The maximum output current is 8 Amperes at 5 Volts. The fuse used is 5 Amperes, 32 Volts normal blow Bussman MTH5 Littelfuse 312005. The power loss time delay for input power loss to processor disable is selectable between 13.6 milliseconds (within 3.6 milliseconds) and 60 milliseconds. It is approved by UL, CSA/H, and EMI/RFI standard conformance. The module can withstand 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) while operating and -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit) while in storage with a relative humidity of 5 to 95% (non-condensing). The module weighs 2.6 pounds (1.18 kg). It uses 1771-CT cable and -P10 and -P5 for paralleling.
