The 1771-RTP4 is an Allen Bradley remote termination panel that belongs to the Bulletin 1711 series of AC/DC I/O modules. This panel makes the wiring of the module with the rest of the connected field system easy. This remote terminal uses a straight-through type wiring in a simple general use block. This wiring is suitable for all product applications except for thermocouples. Thermocouples can also be used with the RTP4 panel if there is an interface of odd junction compensation between the thermocouple and the copper wiring within the system.

A global industry standard rail-mounting system that attaches/mounts the electrical components and other industrial products, such as circuit breakers and more, is called DIN rails. The Allen Bradley 1771-RTP4 is manufactured to be mounted using DIN 1 or DIN 3 mounting rails standard. A wiring arm can be used, which provides mobility without having the need to remove wires. The components can be mounted on the desired surface without disconnecting any connections or any other hassles. The 1771-RTP4 is a remote open panel that does not have enclosures. This termination panel has a relative humidity rating of 5 to 95% while also having no condensation. It has an operating temperature that should remain within a range of 5 to 60 degrees Celsius. This remote termination panel can be used with other 8 input /output modules using either a 6-foot (1.8-meter) or 15-foot (4.6-meter) cable. The complete remote termination panel weighs 0.2 kilograms, or the equivalent of 0.5 pounds. This device has physical dimensions that measure 75 mm x 138 mm x 58 mm.
