The 1771-SDN is equipped with a bicolor module status indicator to display the status of the device; it communicates to the end user as to whether the device has power and/or is functioning properly. If the indicator is flashing green, this indicates that the module has not yet been configured. Flashing red indicates that there is an invalid configuration. Solid red indicates to the user that the module has an unrecoverable fault.
