The Allen-Bradley 1783-BMS20CA is a versatile Ethernet switch that can be used to enhance the control and communication capabilities of an industrial automation system. The switching device is equipped with a total of 20 Ethernet ports that make the control system far more accessible and improve the performance characteristics of the system. The device functions on a stable input power supply of direct current with a voltage rating ranging from 12 volts to 48 volts. At a nominal voltage of 24 volts of direct current, the switching device displays optimum performance characteristics and is able to communicate with control modules within the automation system. The switching device weighs a total of 4.5 pounds and does not require a conformal coating. The device is also equipped with a configurable NAT router and can communicate with remote I/O devices to create a pleasant experience for the user.
