The 1783-ETAP1F is an Ethernet/IP switch that is manufactured and branded by Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation. This 1783-ETAP1F Ethernet/IP Switch has been manufactured and designed by Rockwell Automation in the Ethernet/IP switches product line. The main function of this switch is to provide connectivity between 2 or more pieces of equipment. This connectivity promotes data transfer. It contains two (2) ports, one (1) being manufactured in copper and the other one is made of fiber. The copper port connects the point to a copper linear network whereas the fiber port works exclusively with fiber linear networks.

One of the advantages of 1783-ETAP1F Ethernet/IP Switch is that it enables users and operators to combine the copper and fiber networks, usually by connecting one copper line with one fiber line, making the switch able to work with both of them.
