The Allen-Bradley 1783-SFP1GLX is a pluggable transceiver module with a small form factor. This module combines the functions of a radio transmitter and receiver to transfer data and is intended for use with the Allen-Bradley 1873-EMS08T switch module. The 1783-SFP1GLX is a 1000 base LX/LH single mode fiber module and is included in the Stratix 8000/83000 series by Allen-Bradley. The device has an operational range of up to 10 kilometers. The manufacturer recommends that each port must match the wavelength specifications of the other end of the connected cable. The rated maximum cable length should not be exceeded in order to ensure the reliability of the connection and to prevent possible disruptions in communication. This unit features 1 Gigabyte of memory capacity. The fiber type is SMF making the 1783-SFP1GLX a single-mode fiber transceiver. The modal bandwidth is only applicable to multi-mode fiber transceivers. The transceiver has a core/cladding size specified at G.652 microns and fully complies with KC and ROSTECHNADZOR standards. This transceiver operates on a wavelength of 1310 millimeters. The 1783-SFP1GLX includes a dual LC connector and offers support for digital optical monitoring using the command line interface (CLI). This transceiver module is rated for an operational temperature range between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius. After the module is connected, the overall temperature rating of the combined modules becomes limited to the highest minimum temperature and lowest max temperature ratings. The module is compatible with switches in the 5700 series by Allen-Bradley. Note that the 1873-EMS08T switch supports only 1G fiber SFP module.
