Part number 1783-US16T is a Stratix 2000 Ethernet switch designed by Allen-Bradley. To enable and disable the broadcast storm protection, this Allen-Bradley device has an SW1 DIP switch built into it. For a second layer of protection, this unmanaged Ethernet switch comes with comes with a standby SW2 DIP Switch. It has a total of 16 Ethernet ports, which is double that from its predecessors. The required power input for the Allen-Bradley 1783-US16T is eighteen (18) to thirty (30) volts alternating current (AC) or twelve (12) to forty-eight (48) volts direct current (DC). This compact Ethernet switch can provide reliable solution for all kinds of industrial applications who require stable network connectivity. To operate, the Allen-Bradley 1783-US16T requires Dual Class 2 or SELV sixteen (16) to sixty (60) volts direct current (DC) or eighteen (18) to thirty (30) volts alternating current (AC) at a 50 to 60 hertz input voltage range. The required inrush current on startup is 24 volts nominal input and a maximum input current of 555.5 milliamperes (mA) with 4.72 amperes. When operating in full swing, the Allen-Bradley 1783-US16T has a dissipation rate of 6.72%. At basic insulation, it provides a 30 volt direct current voltage isolation between power-to-network channels. For optimal performance, this Ethernet switch has been tested at 500 volts AC for 60 seconds. For establishing Ethernet connections, the Allen-Bradley 1783-US16T is equipped with EC-rated RJ-45 connector, with 16 fast Ethernet ports (FE). For the ground connections, this Ethernet switch uses 14 AWG copper wire with a 1.82 N-m (Newton-meters), or eight (8) inches per pound, screw torque.
