The Allen-Bradley 1784-SD2 memory card is a secure digital (SD) memory card that is compatible with use by controllers in the ControlLogix 5370 series. This memory card increases the available non-volatile memory storage capacity for the controllers and allows them to store more applications and data. The 1784-SD2 offers data storage that is secure and is protected from modification or erasure. The memory card helps prevent data loss resulting from unauthorized access and protects the integrity of the data used by the controller. The 1784-SD2 features a CASS password function and has an integrated write-protect notch. This model provides 2 Gigabytes of secure data storage. This memory card package does not include the controller that it needs to be installed in. Compatible controllers may use this memory card as a definitive storage device or may be programmed to write data on it. Controllers in the 5370 support reading data from non-volatile memory upon startup. SD cards operating using the FAT 16 file system do not require formatting when storing a project to a controller. The operating temperature range for this unit is between -25 degrees to 70 degrees Celsius (-13 degrees to 158 degrees Fahrenheit). The recommended storage temperature range is between -40 degrees and 85 degrees Celsius (-40 degrees to 185 degrees Fahrenheit). The approved relative humidity range is between 5 percent and 95 percent, non-condensing. The 1784-SD2 is rated to withstand vibrations of up to 2 G at a frequency of 10 Hertz up to 500 Hertz. The operational shock limit is 30 G. The non-operating shock limit is 50 G.
