This module, the 1785-L80C15, is a PLC module made by Allen Bradley. It is a legacy programmable logic controller (PLC) that supports up to 3072 I/O devices in any combination of 3072 input devices and 3072 output in a complementary configuration. This unit features a ControlNet Network Access port with an RJ45 connector. It also provides connectivity using a serial interface port that supports DF1, one (1) DH+ port, one (1) Remote I/O port, and 1785-KA with DH. The DH+, ControlNet, and Remote I/O ports allow high-speed data transfer and support networked topology. ControlNet data transfer speeds can go up to five (5) Megabits per second (Mbps) while DH+ and Remote I/O transfer data at 57.6, 115.2, and 230.4 kilobits per second. This module integrates an optically coupled channel that allows for effective electrical noise insulation. The 1785-L80C15 is rated to withstand an operational shock of up to thirty (30) G, and a non-operating shock of up to fifty (50) G. It has ESD immunity rated for four (4) kilovolt contact discharges. The unit has an operating temperature range of zero (0) to sixty (60) degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit). This processor has program scanning times of 0.4 milliseconds per thousand words in bit logic and two (2) milliseconds per thousand words typical. It is installed in the leftmost slot in the I/O chassis. Compatible chassis are the 1771-A1B, 1771-A2B, 1771-A3B, 1771-A3B1, and 1771-A4B. The 1785-L80C15 has a battery that is replaceable with part number 1770-XYC. This module weighs approximately 1.42 kilograms.
