Allen-Bradley’s 1785-LT is a 6k word processor module with 512 Total I/O and Analog I/O. The module has one DH+ Channel and one remote I/O channel. The alternate names to 1785-LT are 1785-LT, 1785-L, and 1785-LT. The 2.5-Ampere, 5 Volt DC 1785-LT module is a classic controller among the 1785 series. This module finds its applications in areas of centralized control or a distributed control. This classic module features SRAM that is expandable to about 14K from the minimum 6k word. It is a PLC-5/15 processor module with the scan time (logic) of 2 milliseconds. However, the typical scan time takes about 8 milliseconds. This classic PLC-5 processor works on a special mode (scanner) to scan and control the I/O links. During this process, the processor reads the memory file to control the outputs.

The module’s scan time for one rack is 10 milliseconds at around 57.6 kilobits per second, 7 milliseconds at around 115.2 kilobits per second, and 3 milliseconds at around 230.4 megabits per second. The operating temperature of the processor ranges between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. The storage temperature of the processor cannot go below -40 degrees Celsius or beyond 85 degrees Celsius. The 1785-LT processor module has passed the EN 50081-2 EMC standard and it is a generic emission standard for operation in a Part-Two Industrial Environment.
