An Allen Bradley product, the 1792D-CBFM is a cable base that can be used to install flat media by using Kwiklink cabling. The cable can be routed by using the cable base and it has the ability to maintain full sealing integrity of IP67 type. By determining the network system, one has a pass-through of the cable base or the cable base end. There are available options that consist of Auxiliary Power and DeviceNet cables which can both pass through the base, DeviceNet cables that can only pass through the base, Auxiliary Power that ends at the base, DeviceNet cables that can pass through, and both DeviceNet and Auxiliary Power that ends at the base. The KwikLink DeviceNet is a flat media cable that is made to be a four conductor cable. The KwikLink cable's key design feature is that it allows the cable to be seated within the cable base directed only in a single direction. The cable base also includes labels that indicate the type of slots to use; this includes one that is for the Auxiliary Power and the other one that is for a DeviceNet connection.
Tests on the cable bases have shown that the cable base follows EMC or Electromagnetic Compatibility or the Council Directive 89/336/EEC as well as the following standards, EN 50082-2 EMC that is the Generic Immunity Standard and EN 50081-2 EMC that is another Generic Emission Standard and both of them are Part 2 of Industrial Environment standards which makes the cable base perfect for use within an industrial environment as intended.
