Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation created and manufactured the 1794-ASB2 module, which is a remote I/O adapter module. The module belongs to the FLEX I/O series and is frequently used in large-scale FLEX I/O systems. The FLEX I/O system is made up of several components that may be used in a variety of applications. The 1794-ASB2 module is mounted on a DIN rail and has status and fault warning indicators. Depending on what is being communicated, the indicators might flash or light steadily in green or red. The component number's last digit indicates the number of supported I/O modules, which for the 1794-ASB2 module is two.
