The 1794-OB16D is a FLEX input / output (I/O) digital output module has about 16 non-isolated outputs. It is a product of Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation. The device has a nominal output voltage of 24 volts direct current (DC) with a rated output current of 8 amperes. The Flexbus current of this device is rated at 60 milliamperes at 5 volts direct current (DC). The rated isolation voltage of this Allen Bradley device is 50 volts, and the maximum current leakage when the device is in the off-state is 0.5 milliamperes. The maximum current in the on-state for each channel is given as 500 milliamperes and the output signal delay is 0.5 milliseconds. The rated power dissipation of the 1794-OB16D FLEX I/O digital output module is 4.8 watts maximum at a voltage of 31.2 volts DC. Additionally, the maximum thermal dissipation rating of this module is 16.4 BTU/hr at a voltage of 31.2 volts DC.

This device features light emitting diode (LED) indicators that gives off yellow light. There are a total of sixteen (16) LED indicators for each channel. The primary purpose of these LEDs is to give visual indicators regarding the states of the corresponding input and output signals. This FLEX I/O digital output module has an operating temperature that should remain within a range of 0 to 55 degrees Celsius, or the equivalent range of 32 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, the relative humidity of the surrounding area should be 5 percent to 95 percent and should be non-condensing.
